ABOUT THE WILLIAMSON BUSINESS LEADERSHIP AWARDS
The Williamson Business Leadership Awards seek nominations of business leadership in our community. It is our goal to encourage the recognition of business leaders whose companies are located in Williamson County that have demonstrated professional excellence and significant impact to the economic growth, prosperity and philanthropy in our community. To this end we encourage nominations for 17 major categories for the 2018 Williamson Business Leadership Awards in order to recognize the very actions, accomplishments and good deeds by our business leaders and companies who serve Williamson County.

All nominations must be submitted through the electronic 2018 Williamson Business Leadership Awards (WBLA) nomination form. .All nominations must be submitted by 5:00pm on Saturday, June 30st, 2018. Self-nomination is allowed.
The Williamson Business Leadership Awards (WBLA) are open to individuals who work in Williamson County or live in Williamson County.. If you, as an applicant (on behalf of yourself or your company), feel that you fit into more than one award category, please choose the best fit, as only one application will be accepted per applicant.
The WBLAs are coordinated by a steering committee organized by BIGR Media, Inc. and independent judges recruited from the business community in and around Williamson County. We reserve the right to move your application to another awards category. In the event this action is taken, the nominee in question will be notified immediately.
The following individuals are not eligible to apply: Employees of BIGR Media, Inc., as well as any individuals serving on the steering committee or judging panels.
These same individuals agree to recuse themselves in any situation where a potential conflict of interest may reasonably exist.
Upon being nominated, applicants will receive an email notifying them of the nomination and requesting that the application for the award be completed. Nomination alone does not constitute consideration for any WBLA award. Only those nominees who complete the application process will be considered.
Applicants, if selected as finalists for an award, must agree to make every reasonable effort to be present at the Finalists Mixer Wednesday, July 25th, 2018 and the awards dinner on Tuesday, October 9th, 2018; both to be held in Williamson County.
Each applicant must ensure that his or her application is accurate and complete. Judges reserve the right to disqualify any applicant for lack of complete information or misrepresentation.
All applications completed by the application deadline, which will be communicated to each nominee, will go through a process of judging based on the content of all the applications for each individual award.
Judges for each award category will receive advance instructions and scoring criteria based on the information provided on the applications.
After an initial phase of blind judging, each award category will be narrowed to Stage 1 Finalists. Stage 1 Finalists will be notified in advance and acknowledged at the Finalists Mixer on Wednesday, July 25th, 2018.
Thereafter, a second round of applications will allow judges to make a more detailed review of each State 1 Finalist, and the field will be narrowed to Stage 2 Finalists.
Stage 2 Finalists will be notified in advance, and the winner(s) in each category will be announced at the Awards Dinner on Tuesday, October 9th, 2018.
